Dr. Bob Wallace, MD was one of the pioneers in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. When his office opened in 1987, at 2663 1st Ave. N in St. Petersburg, FL he participated in every clinical trial possible to help stop the spread of HIV. Dr. Bob made it his passion to attend every HIV conference related to the treatment of HIV/AIDS. In one trial known as FTC 303, Dr. Bob’s office had more patients enrolled in St. Petersburg than any other practice in the world.
Dr. Wallace was a lead investigator until joining Gilead Sciences in 2001. The drug he studied in clinical trail would become known as Emtriva. Emtriva is a key component of four of the once daily combination medications available today. He was the first Medical Director for the State of Florida Disease Management Program, known as Positive Healthcare from 1999-2000. He was also one of the founding board members of the organization that would come to be known as The American Academy of HIV Medicine.
Dr. Antonio Luis, a primary care physician specializing in Internal Medicine and HIV/AIDS care, deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Luis's journey began with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, dance, and environmental health from the University of Georgia in 2005, followed by a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2009. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he honed his skills in providing compassionate and comprehensive care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Luis has forged strong partnerships, including with Bell Pharmacy Specialty Therapeutics. Collaborating closely with this pharmacy, Dr. Luis ensures that his patients have access to specialized medications and support services tailored to their unique needs, particularly in HIV/AIDS care and gender-affirming treatments.

Bell Pharmacy spent 2 years of its life in its old home at the Advent Health New Tampa Care Pavilion. From labratory services, to specialists, to family medicine the care pavilion offers a variety of features at a beautiful location. Patients will be impressed at the convenience and high level service offerred at the pavilion. In addition any medication prescribed can be serviced by Bell Pharmacy.
